## **Annual Report for the year to 5[th] April 2021**
The Mesopotamian League is registered with the charity commissioners (No 1047435) and constituted by Deed of Trust.
The charity is administrated by management committee, comprising Chairman - Dr Mohammed Jawad Ali Secretary & Treasurer - Dr JalaJafar Other members - Lamya Mohammed
The Object of the charity is the advancement of education and relief of poverty and hunger among needy human communities in any part of the world. The charity depends on continuing help of the volunteers mainly from Iraqi community in Britain and relief areas.
This year showed increase in the activity, both in collection of donation and payment made to help the needy people.
The donations collected were spent in the normal way in the followingareas :
- 1- Provides support to orphans , widows and suffering families with little or no income or who left without sponsor in Iraq. Displaced families and people in Iraq – Syria borders were also helped .
- The number of orphans currently supported by this project exceeded 800 orphans.
- 2- Thousands of Iraqi refugees left their homes and fled out the city for shelter and safety. Our organisation provided a hundreds of these families with emergency supplies including blankets , sheets, clothing, food items, baby milk, bottled water, medicines and medical aids.
- 3- Mesopotamian league also distributed school bags, stationary, sports outfits and trainers to 200 poor children enrolled in education , so that they could participate in their studies.
- 4- Our work with orphans every day, thousands more children become orphans. Vulnerable children lose their parents due conflict and terrorist suicide attacks.
- 5- Continuing to support the local community activities like Community Saturday School,
