Significant Information
Trustees’ responsibility for the accounts
Charity Law requires the trustees of the Association to prepare a receipts and payments account and a statement of liabilities for each financial year. In addition the trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which are sufficient to show and explain the charity's transactions and to disclose with reasonable assurance at any time the financial position of the Association. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

The trustees present their report and the accounts for the year ended 30th June 2025.
Aims and Organisations of the Association
The Choir was formed on the 29th November 1978. It currently has 35 singing members, from all walks of life and all parts of the county.
The object of the Choir is the study and practice of choral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by public performance.
Progress and Achievements
The principal aims for the future are to expand the repertoire of music and continually strive to raise standards in both concert performance and competitions.
Financial Activities and Affairs
The financial statements are set out on pages4 to 5.
Reserves Policy
The Trustees regularly review the reserves, and consider they are adequate.

Basis of independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’ and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.
