STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES. RESPONSIBILITIES
Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare receipts
and payments accounts and statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year. which
properly present the charl￿S receipts and payments for the year together with its assets
and liabilities at the end of the year.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose. with
reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity, and which enable
them to ensure that the financial statements comply with applicable Accounting Standards
and Statements of Recommended Practice and the regulations made under Charities Act
2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for
taking responsible steps for the prevention and detection of fraud or other irregularities.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 31 July 2024.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 ("the Act").
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145<5)(b) of the Act.
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have
come to my attention (other than that disclosed below ") in connection with
the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material
respect..
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of
the Act or

Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 July 2024
The Harmby Under 5's Group is govemed by a Constitution and is a registered charity no
1047180. Its address is at Spennithorne Primary School. Spennithorne, Leyburn. North
Yorkshire. The charity trustees during the year to 31 July 2024 were the members of the
committee, namely:

The Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting by parents and members present.
The objett of the fund is to advance the edu&ition of the pupils of the playgroup by
providing or assisting the provision of education, recreational and other charitable facilities
in augmentation of such facilities financed by the Local Education Authority and fees
received from parents.
Ten playgroup sessions are held each week. Three permanent members of staff are
employed.
