STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES
Law applicable to charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare receipts
and payments accounts and statement of assets and liabilities for each financial year, which
properly present the charity's receipts and payments for the year together with its assets
and liabilities at the end of the year.
The trustees are responsible for keepin8 proper accounting records which disclose, with
reasonable accuracy at any time, the financial position of the charity, and which enable
them to ensure that the financial statements comply with applicable Accounting Standards
and Statements of Recommended Practice and the regulations made under Charities Act
2011. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for
taking responsible steps for the prevention and detection of fraud or other irregularities.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charityllhe Trusfi for the year ended 31107 12023.
Responsibilitles and
basis of report
As the tharitys tnjstees. you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
{"the Acr).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried OLrt
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5){b) of the Act
Independent I have completed my examination. I confirm thal no material matters have
examiner's statsment come to my attention in connection wtth the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in, any material respect..
the accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with section 130
of the Charities Act; or
the accounts did not accord with the accounting records., or
the accounts did not comply wtth the applicable requirements
conceming the fom and content of accounts set out in the Charities
(Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement
that the accounts give a Yrue and fairf view which is not a matter
constdered as part of an independent examination.
I have no concems and have come across no other matters in connection
with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in
order to enable a proper understanding of the accounls to be reached.

Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 July 2023
The Harmby Under 5's Group is governed by a Constitution and is a registered charity no
1047180. Its address is at Spennithorne Primary School. Spennithorne. Leyburn, North
Yorkshire. The charity trustees during the year to 31 July 2023 were the members of the
committee, namely:

The Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting by parents and members present.
The object of the fund is to advance the education of the pupils of the playgroup by
providing or assisting the provision of education. recreational and other charitable facilities
in augmentation of such facilities financed by the Local Education Authority and fees
received from parents.
Ten playgroup sessions are held each week Three permanent members of staff are
employed.
