Newmarket Contact is a local charity that provides a lifeline to local elderly people and helps to provide a better quality of life for those who need help with small jobs around the house or garden.
Objects: The Object Of The Charity Is The Relief Of Poverty, Sickness And Distress Of Those Resident In The Counties Of Cambridgeshire And Suffolk Who Have Been Recommended By A Medical Practitioner Practising Within 8 Miles Of Newmarket And In Particular By The Provision Of Financial Assistant. So That Beneficiaries May: A) Effect Necessary Repairs And Maintenance To Their Homes. (B) Obtain Help With Transportation To Hospitals In Order To Visit Relatives. (C) Obtain "Sitters" For Relatives Who Through Sickness Or Old Age May Not Be Left Alone So That The Carer May On Occasion Be Discharged Of This Duty. (D) Receive Help With Heating And Fuel Costs. (E) Be Provided With Some AIDS And Therapeutic Furniture And Equipment.
