TO PROMOTE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THE RELIEF OF MENTAL ILLNESS OR DISORDER BY DEVELOPING PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY IN EUROPE IN PARTICULAR THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE STRUCTURE FOR PSYCHONALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR,REGARDLESS OF RACE,RELIGION,GENDER OR SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS.  TO PROMOTE RESEARCH IN PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOTHERAPY.

**Activities:** To advance education, training, research and development of psychoanalytic psychotherapy provided by public organisations in Europe and surrounding regions and to define and protect standards of training required for a practitioner to be competent to practice on behalf of the service providers.
