Objects: 1) The Advancement For The Benefits Of The Public Of The Study Of The Law And Practice Relating To The Relationship Of Landlord And Tenant Including The Principles Of Rental Valuation With Particular Reference To The Rent Acts, The Housing Acts And Current And Future Legislation Associated Therewith Together With The Education And Training (To Include The Development Of Scottish And National Vocational Qualifications, The Initial Assessment Of Prior Knowledge And The Achievement Of Continued Professional Development) Of Members Of The Institute ("Members" Or Persons Seeking Membership In These Subjects For The Benefit Of The Public; And 2) The Study, Research And Discussion Of Issues Related To The Status Powers And Functions Of Rent Officers Or Possible New Status, Power And Functions Thereof Or Of Issues Associated Therewith And The Publishing Of The Results Of All Such Study, Research And Discussion As The Council Of The Institute Think Fit.
