Activities

Voice enables and equips children and young people to hold to account the services that are responsible for their care or wellbeing and to uphold their right to actively participate in shaping their own lives. We provide advocacy and independent services for children in care, in need and in secure settings, and we campaign for policy and practice changes to improve their lives.

Objects: 1.to Promote The Physical And Psychological Health And Relieve The Distress And Disturbance Of Children And Young People, Especially Those Who Have A Particular Reliance On The State Or Its Agencies For Their Rights And Wellbeing, Including But Not Restricted To Those Who Are In Care, Accommodated Or Being Looked After By A Local Authority Or A Voluntary Organisation Under Any Section Of The Children Act 1989 Or Subsequent Legislation Or Those Aged 18 Years And Under Who Are Detained Pursuant To An Order Of A Criminal Court ("children And Young People In Care"). 2.to Educate The Public, And Especially Those Persons Concerned With The Welfare Of Children And Young People In Care; And 3.to Provide Education And Training For Social Workers And Other Professionals Concerned With The Wellbeing Of Children And Young People, Including Local Authorities, Private And Voluntary Agencies And Those Who Work On A Self Employed Or Voluntary Basis With A View To Raising The Standard Of Their Work For The Benefit Of Children And Young People In Care.
