Ob"ectives and Activities Charitable Purposes The Trust Fund supports the community of Doncaster across seventeen of the Charity Commission's categories of activity, across all ages, including support for organisations involved with the environment, community arts, education and training, health and social care. It also supports the Rotary Foundation (which is the main charity of Rotary International). Donations are generally made to small local groups to support them in their activities and particularly start-up groups. In exercising due diligence, the Trust prefers to make donations to charities registered with the Charity Commission and if they are not registered to encourage and support them in doing so. Main Activities For the year under review smaller external fund-raising activities were continued after the Coronavirus pandemic and cash generation was achieved through resurrecting the Santa Sleigh and the annual classic car show as well as continuing self-generated action by the Rotary Club membership. Achievements and Performances The Charity continued to make donations to community activities. The trustees have a well established and successful "Community Grants" system designed to invite local organisations to bid for grants out of funds raised. The trustees granted 15 awards during the year. These ranged from £79 through to £750. The general size of grant being around £613. Financial Review Policy on Reserves The funds during the year are generally disbursed by the end of the year or as soon as possible thereafter, and the trustees aim to retain minimal reserves. Donated Facilities and Services The members of Rotary Club of Doncaster St George's give their time voluntarily in fundraising activities. Declaration The trustees declare that they have approved the trustees report above. .Trustee .Trustee Page 5
