The Trustees present the Report and Accounts for the year ended 31 March 2025
Objectives and Achievements
The Charity's constitution was adopted by the Governors of The Joseph Rowntree School on
the 14 March 1995 and was last amended on the 18 July 2007 with the objective of advancing
the education of students and staff of The Joseph Rowntree School and ofthe wider community.
The fund may also provide or assist in providing social, recreational or other leisure time facilities
in the interests of social welfare in order to improve the conditions of life of members of the wider
community.
For the period being reported, the Charity's aims were those of enhancing education and
training, particularly in respect of the pupils of The Joseph Rowntree School by their assistance
to children, young people and other charities or voluntary bodies through the provision of grants.
The Trustees manage the financial aspects of educational and social trips conducted by the
school, managing the acquisition and sale of refreshments, managing the collection and
distribution of donations to charities. management of prize funds, management of the financial
aspects of other non-statutory school related activities, and the distribution of any accumulated
surpluses generated by these activities.
During the year grants to other charitable bodies amounted to £4,762.85.
Reserves
At the 31 March 2025. the charity held cash reserves of £77.300.39 which were wholly deposited
with Lloyds TSB Bank plc in an interest earning current account.
Governance
The Charity has the corporate body of the Governors of The Joseph Rowntree School as its
Trustees. Changes to the members of the School's Governing body equally reflect as a change
to the Trustees.
Independent Financial Examination
The Trustees have appointed Mr I Smithson, BA(Hons) CPFA, to conduct an independent
examination of the Charity's Accounts and to report thereon. Mr Smithson's report and
statement in respect of the accounts for the reporting period accompany this report.

Independent Examiners Report to the Trustees of Joseph Rowntree School Fund 

I report to the Trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 31st March 2025. 

## Responsibilities and basis of report 

As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ("the Act). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

## Independent Examiner's Statement 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that, in any material respect: 

- accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or 

- the accounts do not accord with the accounting records. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
