## **Chairperson’s Report – AGM – 09/10/2025**

Good evening, everyone, and thank you for joining us at tonight’s Preschool AGM.

## **Staff**

On behalf of the committee, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our staff for your dedication and hard work over the past year.

A special thanks to **Amiee, Claire, Linda, Louise** , and **Tianna** , who is currently on maternity leave after welcoming a beautiful baby girl – congratulations, Tianna!

We also appreciate the **bank staff** who have stepped in to help cover shifts throughout the year.

This year, we were pleased to welcome **Lexxi** to the team as part of an apprenticeship scheme – welcome aboard, Lexxi!

## **Committee**

A big thank you to all committee members for your ongoing support and dedication to the preschool. Your time and effort, particularly with **fundraising** , have made a real difference.

We’re proud to share that we raised approximately **£1,992.24** for the preschool this year – that’s an impressive **£856.89 more than last year** . Well done to everyone involved!

Well done also for launching our **Vinted account** and setting up **PayPal** – these creative ideas have opened up new fundraising avenues for us.

This year has continued to bring financial challenges, including increases in **hall hire costs** and the expense of **first aid training** . Despite this, we’ve pulled together and managed well under the circumstances.

As many of you know, I stepped into the **Chairperson** role unexpectedly after initially volunteering for the Treasurer position. Although I have no children enrolled at the preschool, I’ve done my best to be present and supportive throughout the year.

I’ve now updated the **Chairperson Handover Document** , which is stored on the **Committee OneDrive** . This includes everything needed for a smooth transition in my absence.

A big thank you to the following committee members, both returning and new, for stepping up to ensure the preschool continues to thrive:

- **Amiee Springett**

- **Melaine Broughton**

- **Toni Casey**

- **Rebecca Gilham**

- **Debbie Stacey**

- **Stacey Rachel** – (Awaiting DBS, will need to step up)

- **Ben Camies** – (Awaiting DBS, will need to step up)

We also want to acknowledge **Claire Cheeseman** , a member of the preschool team, who generously volunteers her time to support the committee when she can – we are truly grateful for your help.

This year, we sadly said goodbye to **Estee** , but we wish her all the best in her new job role.

## **Preschool**

Looking ahead, the committee and staff must work closely together to increase **child enrolment** throughout the school year. We’ll be organising another **leaflet drop** soon to raise awareness.

Due to ongoing financial pressures, we have had to use some **fundraising funds** to cover **supplies and wages** .

A huge shout-out to **Stacey and her husband** for fixing the school shed and giving it a fresh lick of paint – thank you both for your hard work and support.

## **Supporters**

Finally, a massive thank you on behalf of the Kingswood Preschool staff and committee to our amazing **local supporters** . Your continued generosity and commitment to our small charityrun preschool means so much and makes a real impact:

- **NISA** and **Kingswood Post Office** – for providing collection pots, advertising, and raffle support

- **Winterwood Farm** – for their ongoing donations of fresh fruit

- **Kingwood Preschool children and their parents** – for donations

Thank you once again to everyone who has contributed time, effort, and support over the last year. It truly takes a village to keep our Charity run preschool going, and we are incredibly grateful to be part of such a dedicated and caring community.

Warm regards, **Toni Casey** Chairperson – Kingswood Preschool
