The school<br>and the club operates over two campuses<br>in,Hardwickand Cambourne.|

In 2013 the school took over the<br>running of a primary school in Cambourne<br>and renamed itself “Hardwick and<br>Cambourne Community Primary”. At the<br>same time the club expanded its services to<br>incorporate the new site.<br>At the club children are cared for in a secure<br>and relaxed environment. They are given the<br>freedom to make their own choices and<br>plenty of encouragement to enable them to<br>feel comfortable in their surroundings and<br>develop their independence as well as their<br>social skills.<br>The club provides a wide range of daily play<br>activities including arts and crafts, a home<br>corner, pool table, table tennis, outdoor play,<br>musical instruments, books, video games,<br>DVD’s, and I.T. facilities. It prides itself on<br>offering healthy snacks including a daily<br>selection of fresh fruit and vegetables as well<br>as snacks such as pasta, toast, soup and<br>crumpets. At our breakfast sessions<br>children are offered a selection of (non-<br>sugary) cereals and toast with milk and fruit<br>juices.|

|||Importantly the club strives to offer, a safe<br>and secure environment at both sites, with<br>well-trained and qualified staff, and a door-<br>to-door class pick-up service.<br>Membership of the club is restricted to the<br>parents/carers of children attending the<br>school at either site.<br>The club continues to be run by a small<br>committee of dedicated parents (in spite of<br>the large number of users).|

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|This year the club has achieved survival<br>during a pandemic (Covid-19) in which<br>nationally schools were shut, limiting the<br>clubs’ attendance and thus constraining<br>its finances.   Through careful<br>management it achieved the retention of<br>the majority of its well trained staff and<br>reduced operation at both sites, enabling<br>a smooth restart of operations (following<br>government guidance) upon the return of<br>children to the respective schools in<br>March 2020.   In turn enabling parents of<br>the children who attend, a smoother<br>transition as their working requirements<br>transformed.<br>The club has now been running over two<br>sites for several years and is increasingly<br>popular with children and parents for the<br>provision of after school care both in<br>Hardwickand Cambourne.|

## **To the Trustees of Hardwick 3.15 Club** 

I report on the accounts of the charitable trust, Hardwick 3.15 Club (reg. no.: 1045652) for the year ended 31[st] August 2020. 

## **Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner** 

As the charity’s Trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. You consider that an audit is not required for the year ended 31[st] August 2020 under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the “Act”), and that an independent examination is needed. 

It is my responsibility to: 

- i) examine the accounts (under section 145 of the Act), 

- ii) to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under section 145(5)(b) of the Act), and 

- iii) to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. 

## **Basis of independent examiner’s statement** 

My examination was carried out in accordance with General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. 

The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair’ view, and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. 

## **Independent examiner's statement** 

In the course of my examination, no matter has come to my attention (other than that disclosed below): 

- i) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respect, the requirements: 

   - a. to keep proper accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Act; and 

   - b. to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act have not been met; or 

- ii) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
