The Group is managed day-to4ay by the Group Lead Volunteer, together with
the section leaders. The Group Lead Volunleer reports lo the board of the
Scout Group. The board of trustees is responsible for complying wllh
gislation applicable to charities. This Includes the regislralion, keeping
proper ac£ounts and making relums to Ihe Charity Commission as
appropriate. The board consists of Chair, Treasurer and SecTetary together
with the GroLFP L&ad Volunteer and any olher members chosen to strengthen
the board's Competencies. The board meets 8very three months.

All Seelions of the Scout Group, {Beavers, Cubs and Scouts) maintained full
registers in 2024r2025 and implemented a wide ranging advénture and 8kill
based programme. The programme aims to facililate completion of the
Bronze. Sflver and Gold Chief Scout Awards and the range of aclivilies
included..
Life skills training- cooking.. knots and pioneering- nature hikes., firelkjhling
and camp fires,. camping skills., navlgalion.. STEM Challenges; road safely &
ralsway saf8ty' shelter building-. crafting", knife skills and general Scout skills.
. Adventure
rifle shooling.. numerous hike challenges ranging from 2 10 26
miles: ralt racing-, survial camp., summer camps and expedition challenges.

Brief slalemenl of the chartly's poliGy on
Roserves Policy
The Group runs on a non-profit basis with all memb8r subscriptions and other
fund5 raised used to cover Group running costs and activities. The Group's
policy on ￿serVeS is to hold sufficient resOUr￿S lo continue Ihe Gharitable
activities of the Group.
The Group held reseNe8 of approximately £55k against Ihls al year end. In
the context of the prevkjus year, the reserves are in line with pasl years and
are considered reasonable. Historically some money was earmarked for new
premises prior lo moving lo the current Dislricl Scout HQ. Given the
uncertainly surrounding Ihe s8curily of tenure of our curfenl meellng pla¢e,
the86 reserves are held in case needed in fulure.
