The Group runs on a non-profit basis with all member subscriptions and other
funds raised used to cover Group running costs and activities. The Group's
policy on reserves is to hold suffi'cient resources to continue the charitable

The Group held reserves of approximately £51k against this al year end. In
the context of the previous year. the reserves are in line with past years and
are considered reasonable. Historically Some money was earmarked for new
premises prior lo moving to Ihe current District Scout HQ. Given the
uncertainly surrounding the security of tenure of our current meeting place,
these reserves are held in case needed In lulure.
