and beverau¥&s. All net profit is then invesied in WKU youth ptogramnies. WKU is now aJ50
developing its brand ini11￿lY focusing on de￿.g￿lng a ￿1qUe rdnge of African
styl¢'fishennan panL8'.
WKU conlinues to seek to harne&s fwiball as a vehicle ￿ pmmoie positive oulcomes bwond
the playin& field. Using fooib311 enabler for sexld and reproductive health and
reproductiir righLg among youth remains ￿ the core of WKU. said beyond our k.ey

In Marth 2021, WKU swd a sad but ti￿lY farewell ￿ South Africa. After 18 ye￿5 of
Jrking tirelessly to address HIV in Soudi Africa and in particdar HIV prevLntior4
tr&it￿L care and support anK)ng ath)leswJLS. WKU handed over the ieins of its H￿th
Academy (the largost youth clinic tn Africa) io Edendate Hospit￿ and the Department of
Health. This is an incredible xhievemeni - to desigm. build and develop a wmprehensive
SRHR youth programme and clit)ic whidh is the flagship youth clinic in South Africa and be
able lo hand il over ￿ the Deparfmenl of H&iltK thereb). ￿L¢￿A￿S IDThg ierm su¢tainability
and grvwh. WKU is hugely proud to have been d kej player in the IIIV re4y)nse Èn South

for one due to covid 19. bui in Febnw 2021 WKU once again Open￿ its doors to the

gradu￿ed ￿1th a govemment accredited ¢ertificaie as quatified seamstresses. Over 50 p¥*le
joined the graduation ￿lebratio[L5 to applaud their achievements. part of th¢ training
programtne WKU aEso developed a thur progrdrnrne on how to start a successful
small b￿sine&s. WKU is proud to have enablejj 10 young with indwdent financial
r￿d0[n and the 5ki115 required to create theirown small businc55ts.

WKU continues to work with giFIs and young *Dmen through its girl on the ball PfO8Tamme
empowering them to access youth fn"endly SRHR services. In 2021. 128 gifls from three

2.292 health 5eTrices. All education and empowemient programmes were ￿111 on hold due to
Covid 19.

health rights. In is a very patriarchal society. and young %¥vmen are still very much
denied a¢¢ess io ter(iary cduc4lion. One in three 8irfs in the region will be married before

## **1) Proper Book-keeping** 

The book-keeping records are kept on a computer spreadsheet.  Dominique Tatibouet took over the role of Finance officer from Caroline Mills on 24 June 2022 and the financial records continue to be kept in the same manner, he has prepared the year end reports for the year end 31 December 2021. 

## **2) Cashbook and payment controls** 

The following sample of payments in the cash book were supported by invoices and reconciled to the bank statements

## **4) Payroll Controls** 

The Salaries to employees were paid correctly, the preparation of payroll being outsourced to Celtic Payroll services. The payments have been made after tax and NIC has been deducted and HMRC PAYE requirements have been properly applied. 

## **5) Bank Reconciliations - Closing funds** 

An ongoing bank balance is maintained in the spreadsheets for the current Account.  The year end reconciliation was reviewed against cashbook and the bank statements and no unexplained entries were noted.
