AIMS & OBJECTIVES
In keeping with the aims of the founding document, the Trustees are empowered, under the rules of the original governing instrument:-
Maintain the hall for the purpose of physical and mental training and recreation and social, moral and intellectual development through the medium of reading, lecture, classes, recreations and entertainment or otherwise as may be found expedient for the benefits of the inhabitants of the parish, without the distinction of sex, or political, religious or other opinions.
REVIEW OF THE FINANCIAL YEAR ENDING ON THE 31ST JULY 2024
The Trustees have continued with their program of building upkeep, the key project being the complete refurbishment of the main toilets. The refurbishment was a challenging one, we trusted a local company that the Town Council used in the past. We found their work was not up to the standard we expected. Additional work was undertaken to rectify the various problems.
HOT WATER
We have had a new hot water tank fitted, we are pleased with the work carried out and we have now hot water at a good pressure.
WEBSITE
We are currently negotiating with a new Website Company that will provide us with a modern website. Although the existing website is ok its design is not up to modern standards.
