The Trustees present their report and flnanclal statements of the charlty for the year
ended 31 December 2022
Fi81d Vin8yard is Constituted as a Private Charitsble Company, limited by guarantee and is
governed by the terms of the Principal Trust Deed and its Memorandum and Artbcles of
Association. There are therefore no shares in issue.
The Trust's accounts and Annual Report are required to comply with the requirements of
Companies and Charities legislation and have therefore been prepared in a¢cordan¢e with
the Companies Act 2006. the Charits'es Ad 1993 and the Revised Statement of
Recommended Practice, Accounting by Chartties. (SORP FRS 102).
This Annual Report fomis the Twstees, re￿rt for the purpose of Section 45 of the Charit108
Act 1993 and th8 Directors report forthe purF*)ses of Se¢tion 234 of the Companies Act 1985.

ent
Caleb Pedersen is the Senior Pastor of Field Vineyard, alorvJside a ￿adership team consisting
of Jess Pedenaen and Tim & Julie Cole.
Trustse Board
In 2022 the￿ were five trustees who met quartedy. Jacqui Crawley Chairperson for the
Trustees. Alan Foster, Louise Lacey, Matt Fowler and Caleb Pedersen Continued as trustees.
Matt Fowler st8pped down in July 2022.
Trustees are appointed on the basis of expertise and need. to manage the financial, legal and
administration of the company. All the trustees are members of Field Vineyard and the group
as a whole consuR widely with experts about emerging issues affecting Field Vineyard..
The Senior Pastor and Board of Trustees are ent￿ed by the trusts of the charity to appoint
one or more new charity trustees as laid oui in the Artides of Ass(xiation of Field Vineyard.
New trustees are primarily sought from within Field Vineyard.
Upon appointment they are given an over4fjew as to the current status of the company by one
of the existing trustees. They are given an orientation document which includes; Roles and
Responsibilrties of Trustees, Artides of Ass¢xiation and Trustees Annual Report and
Accounts. Ongoing training is made available as the need arises.
Disclosu￿ and Barring Serrfio (DBS) checks ar8 carried out on a 3-year rotation, irtduding
all staff and members of the church working with thildren or vulnerable adults. These are
currently up to date and ongoing.

Staff Team
There is a staff team consisting of Caleb Pedersen (Senior Pastor); Jess Pedersen (Pastor).
Emily Henderson {Associate Pastor): Karin Bray (Administrator); Euna Lau (Ktds Church
administrator). This staff t8am changed during mid 2022 wth Emily. Karin and Euna moving
on from their rol8S.
The role of the staff team is to facilttate involvement of members of Field Vineyard in the lrfe
of the church and service in the wider community.
Lead8r8hlp Team
The Leadership Team includes Jess Pedersen and rim & Julie Cole. Their role is to support
Caleb in18ading the church. to OV8rs88 pastoral car8 wiihin the church and to help to make
de¢isions which arise regarding church lrfe.
Other
Field Win8yard is a member of the Assouation of Vineyard Churches in th8 UK and as
charita￿e company is accountable to the regional overseer for Vineyard Churches UK in the
South West and Wales.
The charity has undertaken a risk assessment to Klentrfy the risks to which the staff, board
and the church are exposed. This is continually reviewed and systems are in place to manage
those risks.
All human re80urc88 have been OLrt80urced to RSM, therefore, all new contracts, our new
staff handbook and all pro¢edure8 and policies comply with current employment legislation.
Field Vineyard continues to lulfil its obieLtive8 as summarised below arKI in lis Articles of

OveNiew of January to December 2022. some highlights of this year included...
A number of gffts have been made to thank individuals for their ¢ontnbutions to the life of the
Church during the year.
Newcomers Caleb has hosted 2 evenings of getting to know one another and to ask
questions and find out about opwtuntties to get involved in church life. 20 Feople have joined
the church this year.

Prayer Meetings - Julie Cole continues with a weekly prayer meeting over Zoom vthith has
been very well attended with a core group of regular prayers- praying for the church, the city,
the country and the world as well as specific prayer requests. In addition, Caleb and Jul
have started a midday prayer meeting on Wednesdays and one also in the evening.
Children and Youth
Chlldren
the children's programme has undergone positrve changes wlth the structure
changing to two groups. We have seen grovrth in numbers with rew children Joining in.
Youth - the youth have gathered weekly on Thursdays during tem4ime and are enjoying
being together. Partnering with Sevem Vineyard and went to DTI, a youth festival.

Chrl•tmas- wejoined wrth the othervineyard churches in Bristol to have a joint Carol Service
in the City centre of Bristd.
Worshlp - we place a high value on worship and have focused on rebuilding our music team8
after the pandemic. We have had trainings and seen growth in people joining in.
Wobsit• - we have rebuilt the existing website.

Several of the leaders in church attended tho annual National Vineyard Leaders
conference online in April 2022.. Caleb Pedersen, lan Nelson, Claire Nelson, Emily
Henderson, Phil Hender8on, Abbey Furni8dge and Georgie Cox.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Income of £136,352 was ￿ceiVed in the year to 3111 December 2022. Field Vineyanl receNed
no other income other than from the members of the church.
Monthly income has been slow in increasing after the pandemi¢ but we are slovAy starting to
see monthly income increase.
Grants
In total. Field Vineyard made grants totalling £15,854. Part ofthis figure rep￿SentS a 5% grant
to Vineyard Churches UK to further church planting both in the United Kingdom and
intemationally but does not include money used to minister to the poor.
Field Vineyard, as part of Vineyard Churches UK & Ireland. will continue to contribute
financially to Vineyard Churches UK&I over the coming years in order to pursue its charitable
objectives.

Reserves Policy
The Trust has deterniined to maintain a level of reserves equal to at least 3 months of
outgoings in order to meet effectively the requirements of the long tenn running of the Trust.
The level of free res8rv8s held at th8 y8ar4nd was £160.515. In the current uncèrtain
investmenl Glimate, the ￿serveS policy is to keep these reserves on deposit at the highest
rate of interest that can be eamed ethically and safely.
Re8ponslbllltlo8 of the Trustee8lDlrectors
Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year whi¢h
give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the chanty and of rts incoming resources and
resources expended for the period.
In preparing those finanaal statements. the Trustees are required to:
-select surtable accounting policie8 and appty them con81Stently;
-make judgements and estimates that are reasonable ar¥J prudent.,
4omply with applicable accounting standards and the Charrties SORP (FRS 1021, Su￿.eCt to
any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements., and
-prepare financial statements on the going concem basis unless it 18 inappropn'ate to presume
that the charity wll continue in operation.
The Trustee8 are responsible for maintaining proper accounting records which disclose with
reasonable accuracy at any time the finanaal position of the charity and to enable them to
ensure that the financial statements comply with the Chariti8s Act 1993. They are also
responsible for safeguarding the assets of the ¢harity and hence for taking reasonable steps
for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregUlant￿S.
In th8 cas8 of each of the persons who are Trustees at the time when the report is approved,
the following applies..
