Section C ectives and activities The aims of Cheeky Chimps are to enhance the development and educab'on of children primarily under ststutory School age and children attending our wrap around care by encouraging parents to understand and provKle for the needs of their children through community groups and (a) offering appropriate play, educats'on and care facilrties, family 18aming and extended hours groups, together with th8 right of parents to take reSnSIbIlity for and to become involved in the activtlies of such groups, ensuring that such groups offer opportunities for all chiklr8n whatever their race. culture, religion, means or abilty. (b) Encouraging the stuty of the needs of such children and their families and promoting public interest in and recognition of such needs in the local areas,. Section D Achievements and performance In September 2024 the year started with a busy cohort of children. Summary ofthe maln achievements of the charlty during the year During this time. the ballroom floor was completed. creating a space that could be fully used for leaming and play. The Christrnas event in December went y11. Outdoor spaces were improved using fundraising money. vthiGh funded new equipment and forest school sessions. The sarHYpit area was also upgraded. In March. we hosted a sthool readiness meeting that was well received by families. Around Easter. we created a recipe book to sell as part of our fundraising effort and we held an easter fundraising event that included songs and an Eastèr egg hunL The Beer Fest in Juty raised £5.000 for the preschod. July also saw the sports day an(J the leavers. event. A large butterfy group med on to school in the summer term, and families expressed how pleased they were with the support and progress their children made. Katy has taken over the role of Chair from Millie. who. in her last AGM as Chair reflected on taking the ro in dFfficult circumstances and said she hopes her time has made a meaningful impact, which all the committe8 agr88.
