The charity makes grants to young musicians to further their musical development. The charity has provided grants towards the cost of specialist tuition and to aid purchase of musical instruments. The charity's area of benefit is young people who are members of the CBSO Youth Orchestra.
Objects: The Advancement Of Education By The Provision Of Grants, Awards Or Scholarships To Young Musicians Who At The Date Of Applying For Assistance Are Members Of One Of The Following Categories, In The Following Order Of Priority:(i) Members Of The Cbso Youth Orchestra (Cbso Yo);(ii) If And Insofar As The Trust Fund Permits, Former Members Of The Cbso Yo Who Ceased To Be Members Less Than Twelve Months Prior To The Date Of Applying For Assistance
