THE ST ALOYSIUS COLLEGE PLAYING FIELD CHARITABLE TRUST INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2024 I report on the accounts of the Trust for the year ended 31 December 2024, which are set oul on pages 4 to 6. Respective responsibilities of the Trustees and examiner The Charity's Trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The Charity's Trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144{2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an independent examinalion is needed. It is my responsibility to.. examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 ACL follow the procedures specified in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 14515){b) of the 2011 Act., and state whelher particular matters have come to my attention. b) Basis of independent examinerfs report My examination was carried out in accordance vmth the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the records kept by the Charity and a comparison of the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as Trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequenuy no opinion is given as lo whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view. and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. London N6 5T The land is valued at cost to the charity when it was acquired in 21105. 2 Accounting policies The accounts of the charity, which is a public benefit charity, have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance the Charities, Statement of Recommended Practice ISORP), Charities SORP IFRS 102) ' Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practi applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordan wth Ihe Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 1021 {effective 1 January 20191.. The accounts of the Trust have been prepared using the accruals basis. Pounds Sterling has been used as the presentation currency in these 2c¢x)unts. Amounts have been rounded lo the nearest pound in these accounts. At the time of approving the accounts, the Trustees have a reasonable expectation that the Charity has adequate resources lo continue in operational existen for the foreseeable future. Thus the Trustees have continued to adopt the going concem basis of accounting in preparing the accounts. The Trustees have detemiined that there is no material uncertainty that casts doubt on the Charity s. ability to continue as a going Ix)ncem. Income is included in the Statement of Financial Activity when the Charity becomes entitled to it, and is virtually certain to receive the income and the amount of the income can be measured with sufficient reliability Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis. Expendtture includes any VAT that cannot be fully recovered and such VAT is reported as part of the expenditure lo which il relates. Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash at bank and on hand Short term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other creditors and provisions are recognised where the Charity has a present obligation resulting from a past evenl that will probably result in the transfer of funds to a third paty and the amount due to settle the obligation can be measured or estimated reliably. Creditors and provisions are normally re(x)gnised at their settlement arnount after allowing for any trade discounts due. 3 Related paty transactions and trustees. expen5e5 and remuneration As has been the case in past years, the Trustees all continue lo give freely their time and expertise without any form of remuneration or other benefit in cash or kind. 4 Infonnalion on the charity The Charity is a charitable trust govemed by tts trust deed.
