**Objects:** TO PROVIDE A SERVICE IN SUPPORT OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM MENTAL ILLNESS WHO LIVE IN THE SUFFOLK AREA BY PROVIDING STAFF WHO WILL ENABLE THE RELATIVES FRIENDS AND OTHERS WHO HAVE THE PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUPPORTING SUCH PERSONS TO HAVE TEMPORARY RELIEF FROM THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES ON A REGULAR BASIS AND THEREBY TO ENHANCE THE STABILITY AND QUALITY OF THE LIVING ENVIRONMENT OF SUCH PERSONS

**Activities:** Suffolk Respite provides a few hours per week - usually between 3 and 6 hours - of short break respite from the task of caring, to carers of persons suffering from a severe and enduring mental health problem. This is regular, planned support in the community.
