**Objects:** TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC CONCERNING THE HISTORY OF CHARITABLE AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS AND IN FURTHERANCE OF THAT OBJECT TO PROMOTE THE HISTORICAL ANALYSIS OF VOLUNTARY ACTION AND THE STUDY OF THE HISTORY OF CHARITABLE AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS.

**Activities:** VAHS exists to advance the historical understanding and analysis of voluntary action. We organise seminars and occasional conferences and have a membership of academics, practitioners and those interested in the subject.
