## **STONDON STOMPERS PRE-SCHOOL Annual General Meeting 20 October 2020**

## **TREASURER’S REPORT Financial Year 1 September 2019 to 31 August 2020**

As detailed in the attached verified accounts Stompers reserves as at 31 August 2019 were £44,363.66.

This has been a challenging year for Stompers, with the coronavirus impacting education directly in March, the setting was closed from 30 March and reopened on the 8 June. The Government continued to pay the early year’s funding for our funded children on register for the remainder of the Spring and the Summer term. The closure reduced our costs, with no rent and other associated costs being paid during this time. Although our income was also reduced, due to unfunded sessions not being charged, the funding did cover our expenditure and, therefore, no additional Government funding/grants was obtained.

Our fundraising efforts raised £1,244.70 after expenses. This figure is a testament to all those who support Stompers, particularly as we were only able to fundraise between September and March. A big thank you goes to the parents, staff, committee, extended family members and residents who helped to contribute towards this. Our fundraising activities included the Christmas Fayre, our annual Christmas raffle and a very successful games night.

We would also like to thank the RANDS Educational Trust who continue to support Stompers year on year.

Both the fundraising and grant income enabled us to significantly enhance the children’s experience and enjoyment whilst at Stompers. See our Chair’s and Pre-School Manager’s reports for more information.

A thank you also goes to the Village Hall Committee who held our rent for a third year.

The reserves as at 31 August 2020 are £47,624.19. This includes £30,000.00 designated funds, which are allocated to the proposed Village Hall development project.

I request that our end of year accounts be accepted into the record, as verified by our Independent Examiner, Alex Ford.

On behalf of Stompers, I would like to formally thank Alex who provided this service to Stompers free of charge.

Finally, thank you to Deb for her continued dedication to Stompers and her management of the accounts, which as a committee we all hugely appreciate.

Naomi Ford Treasurer
