The remaining staff took on extra work to cover this we thank them for their hard work. The start of the 2023 Autumn term saw us with fourteen children registered. With five more on the waiting list to start in thc new year bringing us up to nincteen chilthcn. While every year throws up different challenges, the Pre-school is still functioning and with our commillee and dedicated stslT members we hope thal the next twelve months will run smoothly. My thanks go to the staff for their continued hard work and effort over this past year. And to the committee for all their ongoing hard work and support. HAUGHLEY PRE-SCHOOL TRUST INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES YEAR ENDED 31ST AUGUST 2024 I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts for the year ended 31st August 2024. Respective re5ponsibilitles of trustees and examiner The charity'5 trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for thi5 year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: examine the account5 under section 145 of the Charities Act to follow procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145 {5) Ibl of the Charities Act, a nd to state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basis of the independent examiner'5 report My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directlons given by the Charity Commissioners. An examination include5 a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records, It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the account5, seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matter5.
