The charity’s Objectives and activities are the prevention and alleviation of animal suffering (for further details see clause (B) of the governing document). ## **Achievements and performance** With our Shelter full We have focused on the high rise of stray cats, having them spayed and neutered, helping the general public with the cost of treatment of ther animals and educating the public on animal welfare issues. In the last three years we have worked hard collecting stray cats from the streets, in total for the three years we have speyed and castrated 100 cats per year from 1st April to 31st March. Taking in animals from senior citizens who can no longer look after their pets. With the cost of living rising sharply in the last year we have managed our funds prudently with no detriment to the charity. ## **Financial review** There are no restricted funds. All the reserves and investment income are to be used for the benefit of the charity’s objectives and activities. Donations and legacies have continued to provide a substantial income for the charity. The charity is VAT registered and the VAT charged on purchased goods and services such as cat food and vet bills is recoverable.
