The charity’s Objectives and activities are the prevention and alleviation of animal suffering (for further details see clause (B) of the governing document). ## **Achievements and performance** Our animal shelter is at bursting point and we are unable to take anymore cats and kittens in. We have stepped up our spaying and neutering, also for people who cannot afford the cost of the operation. With the increase of the workload we have taken on a paid member of staff. With the cost of living rising sharply in the last year we have managed our funds prudently with no detriment to the charity. ## **Financial review** There are no restricted funds. All the reserves and investment income are to be used for the benefit of the charity’s objectives and activities. Donations and legacies have continued to provide a substantial income for the charity. The charity is VAT registered and the VAT charged on purchased goods and services such as cat food and vet bills is recoverable.
