Review of the Charity Activities
During the year under review the onby letting irwme arose from hire of Pa￿Ing facilities as Ihe ha115
were closed throughout Ihe year due to Covid-19.
The charity received Govemment and Local Authorty Grants. enablmig the premises to be maintained.

committee members and the Commiltee would like lo thank all those invofved in supporting the Community
Cenlre and the Social Club.

The management committee actNely review the major risks whith the charity la￿ on a regular basis and
have established systems to Klentsfy and mrtvJate any significant risks. The charity has an established
financial reporting pr¢xedure, which the management committee regvlarty revEw to monitor and control
its assets.
In the opinion of the mana9emenl commrttee the main risk that the charty faces is obtaining sufficient
income lo cover the level of expenditure required lo maintain the thartys aCtNI￿$.
Slated Resorves Policy
. The management committee have rev￿Wed the charivs needs for reserves in line with the guidance issued by
the Charity Commission. The management commrttee believe that the reserves need to be generated lo a
level where they would cover three month's of the chanty's running costs and have determined that its aim
should be to establish a level of unrestricted reserves of some £20.000.
Appointment of Committee MeM￿rg
Members of the management committee are dected each year at the Annual General Methg by the
membership of the community centre.

financial ststements comply with the Companies Act 2006. They are also responsible for safeguarding the
assets of the charity and hence tor taking reasonable steps for the prevenlKsn and detection of fraud and
other irfegulaflties.

The rnaDa￿ent committee, who are also the trustees of Barnhill Community AssociatKJn for the purp05e$
of the Charities Act and the directors for the purposes of company law, are responsible for the preparation
of the financial 5taternents. The management committee consNler that an audil is ncrt required under Section
144 of the Charjb'es Act 2011 and ￿ve taken advantage of the exemptson conferred by secbon 477 of the
Companies Act 20C6 not to have these financial statements audrte¢J.

Basis of opinion
Our examination was carried out in a¢￿Idance with general Dire¢lions given by the Charity Commission
and includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charty and a ccffjparison of the accounts
p￿sented %wth those records. It also includes wisideration of any unusual items or discb5ures in the
accounts and seeking explanations from the management commfftee conceming any such matters. The
procedures undertaken do not prowde all the evidence that would be required in an audrt, and consequently
no opinion is given as to whether thè accoun1$ present a tn* and far vie* and the ￿port i8 limrted to those
maiters set out in the st*ement Èelow.
