Objects: The Institute Is Established To Relieve Poverty And Distress By Providing Persons Resident In The London Borough Of Lambeth And Surrounding Areas With Legal Services Which They Could Not Otherwise Obtain Through Lack Of Means. (A)to Render Advice, Services And Assistance To The General Public On Their Duties And Rights In The Society. (B)to Render Legal Advice, Services And Assistance To The General Public In Matters Of Immigration, Housing, Benefits, Marriage, Crime, Race Relations, Industry, Landlord And Tenant, Conveyancing And Other Areas Of The Law In Which The Institution Can Properly And Effectively Do So. (C)in The Interest Of Social Welfare, To Advise And Assist In The Provision Of Legal Advice, Facilities And Amenities For Settlement In The South West Of London Specifically, And In United Kingdom Generally, To Persons Who Have Need Of Such Advice By Reason Of Their Youth, Immigration Status, Poverty Or Social And Economic Circumstances.
