In the spring term, we held a<br>Krispy Kreme doughnut sale which<br>generated lots of excitement in school as<br>families ordered and then awaited delivery of<br>their sweet treats. We also held termly<br>raffles to win themed hampers made up from<br>items donated by our families, again creating<br>a buzz in school amongst children, parents<br>and staff alike. Mother’s and Father’s Day<br>gift sales were popular with the children as<br>they chose the perfect present for their loved<br>one(s), whilst several social events – the<br>Christmas Fair, exuberant Colour Run,<br>Summer Fair and Summer Discos -<br>combined fundraising with making memories<br>for our children, their families and school<br>staff**.**|

## **Achievements and Performance**

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Our main expenditure this financial year has<br>been on a prefabricated structure that has<br>become the school’s Nurture Building. The<br>funding for this has come from a grant<br>provided to the PTA by East Hampshire<br>District Council. This additional classroom<br>has been installed just behind the main<br>school building on the edge of the school<br>field. With large windows and a glazed door,<br>this light and airy room is cosily furnished<br>and is the perfect tranquil space for the<br>school’s Thrive-trained staff to carry out<br>interventions with both small groups and<br>individual children who need additional<br>support with their learning, behaviour and<br>emotions. At lunchtimes, the Nurture<br>Building is the location for the school’s Calm<br>Club, where children who prefer quieter<br>activities can escape the hubbub of the<br>playground. Having a designated, enclosed<br>space for nurture activities gives greater<br>privacy and security to children who need<br>this type of support and means that all<br>resources for these interventions can be<br>stored in a single location and are readily<br>accessible when needed by staff. Other<br>locations around the school that were<br>previously used for these types of activities<br>are now available for use by visiting<br>professionals such as Family Support<br>Workers, Social Workers, Community<br>Nurses and Speech and Language<br>Therapists which is hugely helpful as the<br>school is busy and private areas for these<br>types of visits are sometimes difficult to find.<br>Another highlight funded by the PTA this<br>year was Treehouse Theatre’s visit to the<br>school in January to perform a pantomime<br>for the children. The interactive show was<br>received with enthusiasm and children<br>relished the chance to be involved in the<br>action themselves. For many, this was their<br>first experience of a live performance and<br>something they will remember for years to<br>come.<br>The PTA also funded interactive history|





workshops for children in years 3 and 4, as well as Sublime Science workshops for the whole school, helping to bring these subjects to life and make them memorable for children in a way that is not always possible in the classroom. At the end of the school year, the year 6 children were all able to take away with them a lasting memory of their time at Anstey Junior School in the form of a group photograph, paid for by the PTA.

We also plan to have<br>an old outdoor shelter demolished and a<br>new path put in. We will need to apply for<br>additional grants to complete the full extent<br>of the works planned but we are hopeful of<br>receiving a contribution from the local<br>council’s CIL fund. The new outdoor area will<br>be made available for the school’s<br>neighbour, Bushy Leaze children’s nursery,<br>to use too.<br>Our remaining restricted funds from the East<br>Hampshire District Council grant we<br>received will be used to landscape the area<br>around the school’s Nurture Building and<br>instal a nature-inspired vinyl mural across its<br>whole rear internal wall.|

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/08/2025** . 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.
