GirLguiding Hampshlre North contlnue to ensure girls can do anything.
through fun. friendship, challenge and adventure within a safe space
setting. Girlguiding Hampshire North, in accordance with our National
Organisation, empowers girls to find their voice, inspiring them to
discover the best in themselve5 and to make a t*)sitive difference In
their community.

Girlguiding Hampshire North continues to undertake a range of
activities throughout the year. These have included regularly weekly
meetings for girls in all secti￿5 of Guiding where girls have
experienced outdoor adventure5, art5 and crafts, service projects
within their Ic(al communities and residential experiences.
Govemance of the county has been achieved throuqh r￿ular meetings
with the Trustees where due regard has been taken of our policies and
financial resFonsTbility.

In this year we have continued to f￿u5 on incieasing our membership of adult
Vol￿teerS helping u5 to continue to provide cpportunitie5 for our young
member5. Adults and ywng mem￿r5 have selected to go on
internatlonal trips organlsed by Girtguidlng South West Region arbd Giriguiding
UK. and we have 5LPPOrted them in their fundraising effort5. We have also
given grants to coming from families finanaal difficulties to help
them experience ILxal Guiding opportunitie5.

demonstrating community spirit a￿1 involven*nt and showcase the benefits of
being involved in Girlguiding.
r I￿al Units contrnue to offer our member5 a wide and varied weekly
experien￿. developed within the Giriguiding Programme as well as additional
events such as residentiaislcanw5151eewvers. Members continue to undertake
training5 to ensure th£y are compliant with Giriguiding standards (fl￿t
reSt￿nSe and safeguarth'ng. for example). ￿￿th additional trainings also
provided dedicated group of Tralners, which all increase the overall
experience5 for our yfxjng members and develop and enharKe our adult
volunteers, skills. Many volunteer5 have undertaken their Leadershlp
qualification. ￿th many 14-18.year-olds wcceeding wlth their Young
Leadership qualification to become valwl member5 01 their Unit teams. The
County were a150 proud to acknowledge girls who achieved their Queen's
Guide Award, Duke of Edinburgh awards (Gold, Silver and Bronze), Section
award5 and the G￿th"￿ Hero award. An awards event was held for adult
voILmteer5, had been rKxnlnated by thelr Guiding peer5 and included

To endeavour to maintain free Reserves of at least 12 months operational
expenditure, li.e. in 2024 this equate5 to approximately £40,000).

Guiding to encourage growth in membership and therefore income.
