A number of fundraising events were held throughout the year, including the annual Toddle round the park, a Boogie Bingo and a Bonus Ball and santa trail. Staff wages increased in April 2023 in line with the increase to Natlonal living wage. I would liketo thank all of the Committee and staff for their hard work and commitment during the last academic year.

Scotby Pre-school Treasurers Report September 2023"_ August 2024 Community Account- Opening balan￿- £12501.45 Closing balance- £13317.62 Savin8 Account- Opening balance- £11137.52 Closln8 balance-£11290.22 Thls year we are open as normal and actually very busy. We still had a 1:2:1 chlld with funding to look after and also another child with additional needs whom we were supporting whilst we applied for an EHCP. We had another 4 children who needed additional support for certain parts of the day As you can see our savlngs account Is the same as last year and our community account is showing a healthy balance. Thls Is held for any redundancles we may need to pay out. We have had more children in butthey have not been utilisin8 all of their funded hours so not taken in is much money through funding and fees. We have worked hard on ourfundraising events and the committee have worked hard to pull off some fundraiser5 events We ran a Santa trail that raised £550 Our sponsored walk was run late this year so dldn't make quite as much money• Bin80 and Bonus ball events were very successful. We decided to rest The scarecrow trail for this year as it is difficult for the village to create new ones every year. The Bonus Ball generates £600 for us for very little outlay. All monies 80 back into the preschool for equipment, resources and trips for the children The end of term trip was back on at Dalscone farm Park, The Busses were going to cost too much so we decided to get everyone to get themselves there and we would pay for all of the children's entry. This meant it only cost us £350

Staffing costs increased by 9.7￿A due to the living wage increase in April, This was another big hit to our budget. Hall fees were up by £lQk which is a huge increase due to the hall committee reviewing their costs and refurbing the hall. We spent £2.5* on equipment as we really needed to update most of our equipment and resource and a150 get some sensory equipment for some children with additional needs
