## Interim Exec meeting XVII Colchester Sea Scout Group

## **Treasurer’s report** 

Ian ran through the accounts for the financial year ending March 2022 and the group made a loss of £4102.45. This financial year included 2 plant sale invoices. Various grants were received in the previous financial year for which costs have been included in this financial year. 

All present agreed with the accounts 

## **AOB** 

- Ian to arrange for bank mandate to be changed and include Marleen Batchelor. 

- Access to the Charity Commission to be amended to remove previous treasurer and to include Liz Mullender and Hannah Smith. 

- Based on a request from a parent Ian asked the committee to consider providing financial support for an active scout to participate in sailing and summer camp. Committee agreed to support by 25% and Ian confirmed that he will also apply for funding through County. 

- Accounts to be uploaded to Charity Commission and presented at next AGM 



## **Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of XVII Colchester Sea Scout Group** 

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the XVII Colchester Sea Scout Group for the year ended 31st March 2022. 

Responsibilities and basis of report:- 

As the charity trustees of the Trust you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’). I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

Independent examiner’s statement: 

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 

1. Accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act; or 

2. The accounts do not accord with those records. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
