Section D Achievements and performance

## **Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year**

The Friends of Chadlington School Association had another successful fundraising year, generating a gross income of £26,880 and net fundraising proceeds of £15,389 after the costs of running events.

Our biggest fundraising activity is the Chadlington Beer Festival, which made a profit of £14,570 this year. We are really grateful to all the volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly, and recruit sponsors.

We continue to benefit from the efforts of our volunteer bakers. Tea and cakes at Chastleton raised £457 in one afternoon, and bake sales held alongside the sale of disco ticket helped to make the disco very nearly break even. The disco is not meant to generate profit, but we run it because the children enjoy it.

We were pleased to support the school by funding buses for school trips (£7,350) and paying to fit out the new teaching kitchen in the Dragons classroom (£20,127).

Across all activities, we recorded a planned deficit for the year, as we drew on reserves to support school projects in line with our reserves policy. Our available funds have therefore decreased from £43,429 to £31,091.

Thanks to everyone’s contributions, the association’s finances are in a healthy condition, and we look forward another year supporting projects and activities for the school.
