## **FINANCIAL REPORT – for the year ended 31 August 2023** 

The Friends of Chadlington School Association had a highly successful fundraising year. We generated a gross income of £43,097, resulting in a net income of £22,438. 

Our biggest fundraising activity is the Chadlington Beer Festival. In 2022, it had been postponed to September, but in 2023 it was able to return to its traditional timing in May. Therefore, two Beer Festivals fell in this financial year, and together they raised £23,423. This was achieved thanks to hard work to make the day itself a success and in recruiting sponsors. The 2023 Beer Festival raised a record £15,536. 

£285 was raised through bake sales and Chastleton teas. We also organised two events which were intended to be great fun for the children, as much as to raise funds. This year’s school disco raised £235, and a parent-led theatre workshop raised £212. 

In the Spring, we provided £244 to purchase a willow dome for the school grounds. We also discussed several other projects with the school this year, but these have not yet reached the point where we can pay for them. 

Our available funds have increased from £27,997 to £50,191. This represents a great opportunity, and we look forward to exploring ways to use this considerable budget to invest in projects for the school.
