Chairmans Report
Firstly I would like to thank Claire for all the hard work she has put into little acorns over the difficult and trying last couple of years. We have had some ups and a few downs, but in the difficult circumstance Claire and her team has kept our Little pre school thriving and I would like to wish her all the best in her new career.
I would also like thank Sarah for all the years of outstanding service, commitment and joy she has bought to Little Acorns, especially the children. We all wish her the very best in her retirement at the end of the school year.
We have just as of the this week appointed a new member of staff, Alice Harrison, she will partner with Fiona and take the roll of acting lead practitioner. We still have some exciting applicants to interview and will keep you updated when we have confirmed successful candidates. We are all very excited moving forward.
We are very lucky to have Fiona on the team and I’m very appreciative of the extra responsibility and work she has taken on this term.
Fund raising has also been a little more difficult over the last couple of years. We managed to organise “Jazz on the Green” which was a great event and raised a helpful sum. We have also manage to secure some grants which have also helped with overall finance.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to visit Little Acorns as often as I would like, but when I have popped in, I always leave with a smile on my face, the happiness and confidence I see in the children, and the smoothness of the operation is a pleasure to see.
