Pre-school charity goals
-
To provide a safe learning environment and to maintain areas of play inside and outside the setting so that children and explore, learn and play safely.

To maintain staff ratios to ensure each child receives the support and education thy need.

To ensure staff undertake the statutory training required and they continue their personal development courses to assist the children in their education and personal development.

To support collages and universities by providing placements for their academic students
Finance
The key financial indicator is based on the level of take up on the Pre school places available. This determines the level of income and small grants needed to meet the overheads. The largest overhead being the staff salaries. The Pre-school financial situation as been compromised due the shortfall of cash which the council said would be given to us for opening a baby room which had to be created from scratch as the request of Early Years.
Achievements
Following a planned research of the local community and other local area’s a discussion was held with Early years and child services, it was discovered there is a short fall in the provision of 0-2 years old. It was decided by the committee and with the support of Early Years that the preschool would refurbish part of the preschool to accommodate 0-2 years. After a short delay the 0-2 year old provision was opened in November 2024. The Pre-School can now offer 9 places for 0-2 year olds. All nine places have been successfully filled with a waiting list in place. The opening of the 0-2 provision as given additional employment.
Future Activities
The delayed planning for the refurbishment of the garden and play area is now going ahead with incorporation of a separate play area for 0-2 years.
With the help of our parents, carers, volunteers and the community we hope that we can continue to support the children and their families,
