Mrs Mary Danby Mr Neil Grayston Mrs Mary Saddington Miss Marjorie Crookes The object of the Charity Account is to accumulate monies from investments, donations and various fund-raising events throughout the year and lo distribute the funds lo Local, National and International charities or causes as dictated by Rotary Club of Refford members at monthly business meelings. The level of income from fund-ralslng is dictsted by the generosity of the public. There are no paid employees. The Trustees are members of the Club Executive Committee who are elected to the Committee by perlodic ballot. Any major risks to which the Charity is exposed have b8en identified by the Trustees, reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate those risks. The Trustees have consldered the Charity Commissioner's general guidance on publlc benefit when dlstrlbuting funds to UK charities. Report to the Trustees of the Rotary Club of Retford Charity Receipts and Payments Aecount for the Year Ended 30 June 2024 We report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 30 June 2024, which are set out on pag¢ 2. Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounrs. The charity's trustees consider that 2n audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to.. examine the accounts under s¢¢tion 145 of the Charities Act. to follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act. and to strte whether parti¢ular rn8tters have come to my attention. Basis of independent examiner's report My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity Comrnission. An examination includes a review of the ac¢ounting recvrds kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounls presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the ¢ounts, and seeking cxplanations from the trustees conceming any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence thal would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whelhcr the accounts present a 'true and fair view, and the report is limited to those matt¢r5 Set out in the statement below.
