The object of the Charity Account is to accumulate monies from investments.
donations and various fund-raising events through0 the year and to distribute the
funds to Local. National and Intemational charities or causes as dictated by Rotary
Club of Retford members at monthly business meetings.
The level of incorne from fundwraising is dictated by the generosity of the public.
There are no paid employees. The Trustees are members of the Club Executive
Committee who are elected to the Committee by periodic balloL
Any major risks to which the Charity is exposed have been identified by the
Trustees. reviewed and systems have been established to mitigate those risks.
The Trustees have considered the Charity Commissionerfs general guidance on
public benefit when distributing funds to UK charities.
In¢ome during the year 2022-2023 - £69,372.79 - Expenditure £72009.31
Unspent income reserves are carried for¥Ydrd and remain available for distribution in
future years.
Approved by members at the Business Meeting held on 15th April 2024 and
signed by the Trustees on their behalf.

The charity's trustees are responsible forthe preparation of the aecounts. The charity's trustees consider that an
audit is not requiIed for this year under section 144 of the Clwiues Act 2011 lthe Charities A¢t) and that an

It is my responsibility to:

Basis of independ¢JAt examiner's report
My examinatiou was carried out in accordaDce with the general Directions given by the C]wity Commission.
An examination illcludes a review of the accouttting records kept by the charity and a ¢omparison of the
accounts presented wÈth those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual it¢llLS or disclosures in the
