The Trustees have adopted the provisions of the Ststement of Recommended Practice (SORP) 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities. revised in 2005 in preparing the Annual Report and Financial Ststements of the Charty. The Charity was set up in 1994. with the aim of educating the public In the dramatic and operatic arts and to further the development of public appreciation and taste in the said arts and to assist and further such charitable purposes as seen fit. Revlew of Artlvltles The actlvltles and financlal results of the Charlty are set out In the Income and Expendlture Account on pages 4 and 5, and the statement of assets in the Balance Sheet on page 6. 2023 was a very importantyear for Dereham Theatre Company. celebrating our 75 anniversary. To mark this slgnificant milestone, In addition to the annual pantomlme, we put on two other productions. Involving both Adult and Youth members. a musical and a Masquerade Ball Style concert. where members performed a varied programme of songs from across the years. Current plans for 2024125 involve three productions once more, a pantomlme and separate Adult and Youth group muslcals. They are also responsible for Safeguarding the assets of the Charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
