The Principal accounting policies are summarised below. The accounting policies have been applled
conslslenlly throughout the year and the preceding year.

The financial statements are prepared under Ihe historical cost conventton and In accordance with Ihe
Slalemenl of Recommended Practice Accounting and Reporting by Charities SORP and the Charities

Expenditure is recognized on payment basis. Expenditure includes VAT whlch is reported as part of the

Grants paymenls are paid once Ihey have been agreed by Ihe Trustees. Charitable aciivilies costs
comprise the costs associated wlh allracling voluntary income. 11 includes both costs that can be
allocated directly lo such aclivilies and Ihose costs of an indirecl nature necessary lo support them.
Governance costs are those Incurred In connecllon ￿th the management of the Trust, oryanlzalional
adminislrallon and compliance wlh conslllullonal and slalulory requirements.
