**Objects:** 1.TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION, RELIEVE POVERTY AND SICKNESS AND PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE GOOD HEALTH OF AFRICAN WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN, AND IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE, TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR THE RECREATION OR OTHER LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION OF SUCH PERSONS WHO ARE IN NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH, AGE, INFIRMITY OR DISABLEMENT, POVERTY OR SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE. 2.TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE NEEDS OF AFRICAN WOMEN IN WAR SITUATION.

**Activities:** African Women in War is currently running FGM prevention support groups for women and girls. Our members have informed us that our work has been highly beneficial to them.  This is why the organisation is planning to share learnt lessons with other organisations involved in work related to the prevention of FGM.
