## **Trustees' Annual Report**

The Charities objects are to help young people, especially but not exclusively, through their leisure time activities, so as to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capabilities that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and members of society. This is developed via detached work, group and individual work, project work with the youth worker delivering informal education. This approach has led to a very successful track record and enables the young people to be at the centre of the decision making process.

## **Activity**

During the last twelve months Longbenton Youth Project has raised money from grants to continue the crucial work of this voluntary charitable organisation.

Although it has been a difficult year for Longbenton Youth Project specifically in terms of problems with our accommodation which we have had to vacate aand seek new premises elsewhere, we continue to have an ongoing presence on the streets and communicate with the young people of the estate.

Further partnership work with the Longbenton Community Centre has been successful bringing together old and young from the estate to meet chat and bond to alleviate problems of anti-social behaviour, loneliness and feelings of isolation.

We look forward to building our contacts on the estate and support young people in whatever circumstances they may find themselves and enable them to develop the skills,

## **Trustees’**

Charity Law requires the Trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which comply with the regulations set out in the Charities Act 1993.
