**Objects:** TO EDUCATE YOUNG PEOPLE MAINLY BETWEEN 14 AND 25 IN NORTH TYNESIDE THROUGH THEIR LEISURE TIME OCCUPATION SO AS TO DEVELOP THEIR PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND SPIRITUAL CAPACITIES THAT THEY MAY GROW TO FULL MATURITY AS INDIVIDUALS AND MEMBERS OF SOCIETY AND THAT THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE MAY BE IMPROVED.

**Activities:** Established in 1993 Longbenton  Youth Project (LYP), a voluntary, not for profit organisation,has a proven track record of working with disengaged hard to reach  young people mainly aged 13-25 yrs, External evaluations have shown that LYP can engage socially excluded young people who mistrust authority and fall through the gaps in services. LYP works successfully with around 120 young people p/a.
