Trustees. responsibilities
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the Annual report and the financial ststements in accordance with
applicable law and regulations.
Charity law requires the Truslees to prepare financial statements for each financial year in accordance with United
Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice Iuniled Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable
lawl. Under charity law the Trustees musl not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that they
give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of
resources, including the income and expenditure, of the charity for that period.
In preparing these financial statements, the Tiustees are required to..
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently.,
make judgements and accountsng estimates that are reasonable and prudent",
stale whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subject to any material departure5
disclosed and explained in the financial statements", and
prepare the financial stslemenls on the going concern basis unless il is inappropriate to presume that the
charity will continue in business.
The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that are sufficient lo show and explain the
charity's transaction5 and disclose with reasonable accuracy al any time the financial position of the charity and
enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011. They are a150 responsible
for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection
of traud and other irregularities.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF THE GOOD DEED FOUNDATION
I report to the Trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Good Deed Foundation for the year ended
3lDe￿Mber 2020, which are sel out on pages 5 to 11.
Responsibilities and basis for report
As the charity Trustees of the Foundation you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in aG¢ordance
with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 1"the Act"}.
I report in respect of my examination of the Foundation's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act
and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145151{bl of the Act.
Independent examinerfs statement
I have completed my examinatson. I confiThn that no material matters have come to my attention in connects'on with
the examination giving me Cause to beI￿ve that in any material respect.

examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention
should be drawn in this report in order lo enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.

Accountlng pollcles
The accounts Ifinancial statemenlsl have been prepared in accordance with the Statement of Recommended
Practice.. Accounts'ng and Reporting by Charities p￿parIng their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) issued on 16 July 2014 and the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland {FRS 1021 and the
Charities Act 2011 and UK Generally Accepted Practice as it applies from 1 January 2015. The accounis
(financial statements) have been prepared lo give a'true and fair, view and have departed from the Charities
(Accounts and Reports} Regulations 2008 only to the extent required lo provide a 'true and fair view,. This
departure has involved following Accounting and Reporting by Chanties preparing their account5 in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021
issued on 16 July 2014 rather than the Accounling and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended
Practice effective from 1 April 2005 which has since been withdrawn.
The Foundation constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS 102.
The financial statements are prepared in £ steding, the fvnctional currency, rounded to the nearest £1.
The Financial Statements are prepared on the going concern basis which assumes that The Good Deed
Foundation will continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. The 8oard of Trustees have
considered the working capital and cash flow requirements and consider that Ihe current and forecast cash
resources are sufficient lo cover the working capital requirements of the Charity for gt least 12 months from
the signing dale of these financial sl8temenls.
There are no significant areas of judgement nor key accounting estimates that affecl items in the financial
statements.
Accounting conv8ntion
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Fund accounting
Funds held by the Charity are unrestricted funds.
Incom8
All income is recognised once the Charity has entitlement lo the income, it is probable that the income will be
received and the amount of income receivable can be measured reliably. Donations and the related gift aid
lax are accounted for on receipt.
Investment income is accounted for on a receivable basis.
Expendrfure
All expenditure is accounled for gross. on an accrua15 basis. Expenditure is recognised once there is a legal
or constructive obligation lo transfer economic benefit to a third party, il is probable that a transfer of economic
benefits will be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably
Grants payable are payments made lo thir(I parties in the furtherance of the charitable objectives of the
Foundation. The grants are accounted for where either the Trustees have agreed to pay the grant without
condition and the recipient has a reasonable expectation that they will receive a grant. or any condition
attaching lo the grant is outside the control of the Foundation.
Foreign currency
Foreign currency transactions of the Foundation a￿ translated al the rates ruling when they occurred. Foreign
currency monetary assels and liabilities are translated at the rates ruling al the balance sheet dales. Any
differences are taken to the profit and loss a¢¢ount.

The accounts do not include a cash flow statement because the Charity, as a Small reporting entity, is exempt
from the requirement to prepare a cash flow slalemenl under the Accounting and Reporting by Charities..

Allocation ofov8rhead and support costs
Overhead and support costs have been allocated entirely lo charitable activities. These G05ts have been
attributed lo the type of charrtable activity on a prts-rata activity cost by total cost basis. Governance costs are
considered akin lo support costs and have been allocated on Ihe same basis.
Realised gains and losses
All gains and losses are taken to the statement of financial activities as they arise.
Financial inslmments
The Charity only holds basic Financial Inslrumenls. The financial assets and financial Irdbilities of Ihe Charity
are as follows..
Debtors- trade and other debtor lincluding accrued income) are basie financial instruments and are debt
instruments measured at amortised cost.
Financial liabilities trade creditors, accruals and other creditors are financial instruments. and are
measured al amortised cost. Deferred income is not deemed to be a financial Iiabilily, as the cash
settlement has already taken place and the￿ is an obligation lo deliver se￿￿eS rather than cash or
another financial inslwment.
Accounting estimat8s and judg8ments
In the application of the Charity's accounting poI￿les, the Trustees are required to make judgements,
estimates and assumptions about the carrying amounts of assets and liabilib.es that 8re not readily apparent
from other sources. The estimates and associated assumptions are based on historical experience and other
factors that are considered to be relevant. Actual resuks may differ from these e$timate$.
The esb'males and underfying assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to accounting
estsmales are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised if the revision affects only that period
or in the period of the revision and future periods if the revision affects both current and future periods. The
Trustees do not consider there are any critical judgements or sources of eslirnalion uncertainty requiring
disclosure beyond the accounting poI￿leS listed above.
Related party transactions
The following related party transacth)ns arose during the year..
The Foundation made grants lotalling £70,59012019.. £73,925) lo The Keren Mitzvah Trust, a charity
administrated from the same address an¢J with common trustees. A gfanl of £500 was also received from

Aggregate donations income received without conditions attached from Trustees and their related parties
