The Charity is governed by a trust deed dated 19 July 1994. The objects of the Charity are to advance the Christian religion and support other causes for the proclamation of the Christian gospel in the United Kingdom and elsewhere.

The church provides a manse for suitable living accommodation for the pastor and his family. The church also supported the former pastor in his work in Eastern Europe and a member of the church serving in France. The Charity also hosts “Hound Basics”, which is a food bank serving the local community and a Job Club in association with Christians Against Poverty. During the year the parent and toddler group known as Abbey Tots was transferred to another provider. In addition, grants were made to the following persons and organisations in accordance with the objects of the Charity:

Grace Baptist Mission UFM (for work in Eastern Europe) Caring for Life Middle East Reformed Fellowship Christian Compassion Ministries (Philippines) Southampton University Christian Union SASRA

In undertaking these activities, the charity has provided public benefit through its activities and services (which are open to the public and accessible on the church’s web site), through the food bank (as referred by other agencies) and personal advice to individual members of the public where sought.
