## **TREASURERS REPORT April 2022 until March 2023**

_Aims and objectives for our group._

Our aim is to provide quality childcare for each individual child, this is of paramount importance. We aim to provide a happy, safe and stimulating environment in order for each child to reach their full potential. Our key persons are all qualified staff who will endeavour to be readily available at all times to deal with parents/carers queries, concerns or anxieties so as to discuss any aspect of their children’s care or well-being. staff receive free online training from Educare through the PLA, and attend childcare.co.uk webinars evenings.

We provide a play-based curriculum that is underpinned by the Early Years Foundation Stage.. We run as a non-profit making organisation, all profits will be put back into the group for the benefit of the children. We are members of the Pre School Learning Alliance. We will work hard to ensure that our service continues to meet the needs of our parent/carers, by regular feedback from them, continuing to develop trusting relationships with parent/carers, acting on their feedback and by monitoring the progress of the children at our setting.

We have had another good year for the group with numbers of children at a higher level than the previous year, this is largely due to a feeder group with takes part on a Monday and Thursday morning for children from birth to 5 with parents/carers. This group takes part in the main hall and is run by 2 of our staff.

So overall it has been a good year for the Nursery financially, with a balance on 31[st] March 2023 of approximately £26,000, generated by funding from DFE and fees, this figure however fluxgates significantly over the year as we only receive government funding 3 times a year. Looking to the future it is really important the Nursery continues to manage its spending and maintain the focus on fundraising events as this really does make a huge difference. So please, if you can; I’d encourage you to join the committee, get involved, share ideas and attend the events put on throughout the year. Every £1 counts

JELLYBABIES NURSERY & PRE-SCHOOL
Re9lStered charity No. 1040732
Examination of accounts for lower income charities
Report to the members and trustees of Jellybabies Nursery & Pre-school on the
st
accounts for the year ending 31 March 2023.
The charities trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The
charities trustees consider that an audit is not required for this in line with the
Charities Act of 2011 and that the accounts should be examined by an independent
examiner who is an independent person who is reasonably believed by the trustees
to have the requisite ability and practical experience to carry out a competent
examination of the accounts.
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by
the charity commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records
kept by the charity. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures
in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such
matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be
required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts
present a true and fair view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the
statement above.
In connection with my examination no matter has come to my attention.
