The past year has been an effectlve, fruittul duration. New children started their educationaljourney,
settLing into 8 new, exclting routine.
Christmas time was upon us and anotherfabulous nativlty performance was thoroughlyenjoyed by
parents. grandparents & members ofthe local community, finished ott byfestive drinks and food,
enjoyingthe excitement ofthe usual raffle atthe end. Before the end ofthe festive term the children
were entertained bya magic show & fun activities which was paid for by kind don8tions from a Local
grandparent, Wl group &tennis club. which were a generous unexpected giftforthe children.
In the summerterm our committed parents and committee members organised a fantasticfun dayon
our local piayingfields. The British weather was kind to us and the LocalfamiLies and their friends
enjoyed the thrilLs of a bouncy castle, fun games an(J activities thriLLs of a bouncy castle, fun games
and activities such as HookA Duck. Football Penaltyshootout. Second Hand Clothing Stall and SpLat
The Rat, an amazing amount of £1400 was raised on this day, 8 great achievementfor81L in these
tryingfinanciaLtimes manyare enduring.

had been Spentto paint and decorate all the indoor areas, the large veranda & safety tarm8G in the
outdoor area were professionally cLe8ned and repaired where necessary, thus enhancingthe quaLity
of a well-use(J & enjoyed area.

Monies banked up to 3110812025 were £57,761.83 in the current account, £98.520.95 savings
account. The charity made a profit of £20,719.45 bythe end ofthe financlalyear, dueto the high
numbers of children enrolLed and the hard workof the committee and staff atthe fundraising events
throughouttheyear.
Although the Preschooldoes benefitfrom fundingfrom Shropshire and Powys Gouncils, these
payments do not 8Lways cover allthe costs if numbers are lowthrough the year.

We tty to keep good reserves for unforeseer) cirGumstances like extended sickness leave. extra
staff ing rf needed and unexpected redundancy payments for Stsff. especially those thatare longterm
empl¢yees.
We are luckyto be able to rentour premises off another Charity business, ourlocal community haLI,
whicn has worked outverywell bysupporting each otheroverthe years. At presentwe have no
conc¢rns about anyuncertainties arising, butwe believe th8t by runnlng an organized. approachable,
friendly community provision itwill continue to pursue and aspirefor greaterthings and the bestwe
can bè lorour locaLchiLdren.

The Gharity is run by an agreed constitution, adopted 1910111994; the committee isvoted on annually
attheAnnuaigeneraL meetingwhich is an unincorpordted 85sociatlon which is always open &
tr8nsp8rentlo all concerned.
All committee members heve an induction into the groupto understand the day-to-day running. have
DBS checks and attend s8fegu8rdingtraining. The PreschooL is run underthe umbrella of OFSTED and
understands the importance oftheirguidance.
