Achievements and Performance

Tea Party supported the aim of reducing loneliness in the elderly The Green fair provides a free and enjoyable time to families in the area and also gives the opportunity for the community to engage with the police and fire service who also attend the event.

The peace poster competition enables teaching staff to discuss with the students the issues around peace, and how to be a good citizen.

Financial review

We are in a very positive position due to a substantial donation and the sale of the charities vehicle which we found increasingly we did not need or use.

We do not hold a reserve as our aim is to use the funds given to us for the benefit of the local community that are generally the people giving to us through can shakes at local community or attending events we hold. As we are a small group of only 16 all decisions about the distribution of donations and fundraising money is made by all of us.

Structure of Governance and management

There is an election each year to appoint President, Secretary and Treasurer; these offices automatically carry the role of trustee for the year, although often the member continues in that role. Other trustee’s can nominate themselves. However because of a number of issues including bereavement and a member moving from the area we are currently looking for at least one more trustee.
