Activities

The principal object of the Trust is the collection, conservation and display of narrow gauge railway relics and material for the education of the public in an enjoyable way, in accordance with the Trust Deed dated 11 July 1994.

Objects: The Advancement Of The Education Of The Public By Securing The Preservation, Restoration, Improvement, Maintenance, Recording And Operation Of Features And Objects Of Industrial Engineering, Scientific, Social And Historical Interest Relating To Narrow Gauge Railways (being Railways Having A Gauge Between The Rails Of Less Than 1432 Millimetres) Including The Provision Of Museums And Visitor Centres For The Display Of Such Features And Objects And The Organisation Of Meetings, Exhibitions, Lectures, Publications And Other Forms Of Instruction Relevant To The Engineering, Historical, Social And Industrial Development Of Narrow Gauge Railways And Also Including The Making Of Grants To Promote The Purposes Of The Trust Subject To Such Conditions As The Trustees May Lay Down.
