FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025
The truslees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2025.
The financial statemenls have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the
financial statements and comply with the charity's goveming document. the Charities Act 2011, FRS 102 "The
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" and the Charities SORP 'Accountlng
and Reporting by Chartties.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)"

Financial review
Reserves policy
It is the policy of the charity that unrestricted funds which have not been deslgnated for a specific use should be
maintained at a level equivalent to bemieen three and six month's expenditure. The tnjstees consider that reserves
at this level will ensure that, in the event of a significant drop in funding, they will be able to continue the charity's
current activities while consideration is given to ways in whith addilional fvnds may be raised. This level of reserves
has been maintained throughout the year.

Clevedon Family Church is constituted under a trust deed dated 3rd July 1994, as amended on 20th September
2015. and 15 a registered Charity in the UK (Charity number. 1039853).

the advancement of the Christian faith in aGcordan¢e with the basis of faith, primarily (but not exdusively) wilhin

Board of Trustees. further the work of the church.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES. RESPONSIBILITIES
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2025
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the financial statements in accordance with
applicable law and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting
Practice).
The law applicable to Charities in England and Wales requires the trustees to prepare financlal ststements for each
financial year which give a true and fair view of Ihe slate of affairs of Ihe charity and of the incoming resources and
applicalion of resources of the chariiy for that year.
In preparing these financial statements, the trustees are required to:
select suitsble accounting policies and then apply them consistently-
observe Ihe methods and principles in the Charities SORP-,
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and PTudent:
state whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any matsrial departures disc105ed
and explained in Ihe financial statements: and
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity
will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping sufficient accounting records that disdose with reasonable accuracy at any
time the financial posiuon of the charty and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the
ChaTitie5 Act 2011, Ihe Charity {A¢¢ounls and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of Ihe trust deed. They
are also responsible for safeguarding Ihe assets of the charity and hence far laking reasonable steps for the
prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

TO THE TRUSTEES OF CLEVEDON FAMILY CHURCH
I report to the trustees on my examination of the financial ststemenls of Clevedon Family Church (the charity) for
the year ended 31 March 2025.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the trustees of the charity you are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements in accordan￿ with
the requiremènts of the Charities Act 2011.
I report in respect of my examination of the charity's financial statements carried out under section 145 of the
Charities Act 2011. In carrying out my examination I have followed the Direclions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5)(b) of the Charities Act 2011.

Your attention is drawn to the f8Ct that Ihe ¢harlty has prepared the financial stalements in accordance wilh the
relevant version of Ihe Stslement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their financial
ststernents in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS
102) in preferense to the Accountsng and Reporting by Charities- Statement of Recofflmended Pracllce issued on 1
April 2005 which is referred to in the extant regulations bul has now been withdrawn. l undersland that this has
been done in order for the financial statements to provide a true and fair view in aC￿rdanCe with UK Generally
Accepted Accounting Practi￿.
I have completed my examination. l e£Jnfimi thal no matters have come to my allention in connection with the
examination giving me ￿use to believe that in any material respect:
accounting records were not kem in respecl of the charity as required by section 130 of the Charitles Act 2011.
the financial statements do not accord with Ihose ￿COrds., or
the financial statements do not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the form and content of
financial statements set oul in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any
requirement that the financial stslements give a true and fair view, which is not a matter considered a5 part of
an independent examination.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention
should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the finan￿al stalemenls to be reached.

Charity infomiatlon
Clevedon Family Church is a charity registered In the UK. Gharity number. 1039583.
1.1 AGcounting convention
The financi81 statements have been prepared in aecordance with the charity's goveming document, Ihe
Charities Act 2011. FRS 102 'The Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland"
and the Charities SORP "Accounting and Reporting by Charities- Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charilies preparing their accounls in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102)" The charity is a Public 8enefft Entity 8s defined by
FRS 102.
The charfty has taken adwdntage of the provisions in Ihe SORP for charities not to prepare a statement of
cash flows.
The financial statement5 have departed from the Charilies (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 only to
the exient required to provide a tTue and fair view. This departure has involved following the Statement of
Recommended Practice for charities applying FRS 102 rather than the version of the Slalement of
Recommended Practice which 1$ referred lo in the Regulations but which has slnce been withdrawn.
The financial statements are prepared in sterling, which Is the fijnctional currenGy of the charity. Monetary
8mounts in these financial statements are rounded to the nearest £.
The finanGial statements have been prepared under the hlstorical cost convention, Imodified to include th8
revaluation of freehold properties and to indude inveslment properties and certain financial instrurnents at fair
value]. The principal accounting policies adopted are set out below.
1.2 Golng concern
At the time of approving the financial ststements, the trustees have a reasonable expe¢tallon Ihat the charity
has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable futur&. Thus the trustees
continu8 to adopt the golng COn￿M basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
1.3 Charltable fund8
Unrestricted funds are available for use at the discretion of the trustees in furtherance of their tharilable
objectives.
Restricted funds are subject to specific conditions by donors or grantors as to how they may be used. The
purposes and use5 of the restricted fijnds are set out in the notes to the financial statements.
Endowment funds are subject to specific conditions by donors that the capital must be maintsined by the
charity.
1.4 Income
Income is recognised when the charity is legally entitled to it after any perfonnance conditions have been met,
the amounts can be measured reliably. and it is probable that income will be retslved.
Cash donations are recognised on receipt. Other donations are recognised once the charity has been notified
of the donation, unless perfomiance conditions require deferral of the amount. Income lax recoverable in
relation to donations received under Grft Aid or deeds of covenant is recognised at thB time of the donats'on.
Legacies are recognised on receipt or otherwise rf the charity has been notified of an impending distribution,
the amount is known, and re￿Ipt is expected. K the amount is not known, the legacy is treated as a
contingent asset.

1.5 Expenditure
Expenditure is recognised On￿ there is a legal or conslructwe obllgatlon to transfer economic benefll to a
third party, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefits will be required in settlement. and the amoLEnt of
the obligation can be measured reliabty.
Expenditure is classified by activity. The costs of each activity are made up of the total of direct costs and
shared costs, including support costs involved in undertaking each activity. Direct Costs attributable to a single
activity are allocated directly to thal activity. Shared costs which contribute to more than one activity and
support costs which are not attribLrtable to a single 8Ctiwly are apportioned between those activities on a basis
consistent with the use of resources. Central staff costs are allocated on thè basis of tlme spent, and
depreciation Gharges are allocatsd on the portion of the asset's use.
1.6 Tangible fixed assets
Tangible fixed assets are initially measured at cost and subsequenlly mea5uied at cost or valuallon. net of
depreciation and any impaimient losses.
Depreciation is recognised so as to write off the cost or valuation of assets less their residual values over their
useful lives on the following bases:

The gain or loss arising on the disposal of an asset is detemiined as the differenc8 b8tw8en the sale proceeds
and the carying value of the asset. and is recognised in the ststement of financial activities.
1.7 Impairment of fixed assets
At each reporting end date, the tharbty reviews the carrying amounts of its tangible assets to determine
whether there is any indication that those assets have suffered an impairn)ent loss. If any such indication
exists, the recoverable amount of the asset is estimated in order to determine Ihe extent of the impairrnent
loss (if any).
1.8 Cash and cash equivalents
Cash and Gash equivalents indude cash in hand, deposits held at call Wbth banks, other short-term liquid
investments with original maturities of three months or less. and bank overdrafts. Bank overdrafts are shown
within borrowings in current lialxlities.
1.9 Flnanclal Instruments
The charity has eleded to apply the provisions of Seclion 11 '8asic Financial Instruments, and Seclion 12
'Olher Financlal Instruments Issues, of FRS 102 to all of its financial instTumenls.
Financial instruments are recognised in the charity's balance sheet when the chartty becomes party to the
contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial assets and liabilities are offset, with the net amounts presented in the financial statements, when
there is a legally enforceable right to Sel off the recognised amoun15 and there is an inlention to settle on a net
basis or to realise the asset and setue the liability simultaneously.
Basic financial assets
Basic financial assets. which include debtors and cash and bank balan￿s, are initially measured at
transaction price induding transaGtion costs and are subsequently carried at amortised cost using the effeclive
interest method unless the arrangement conslitutes a financing transaction. where the transaction is
measured at the presenl value of the future receipts discounted at a niarket rate of interest. Financial assets
classified as receivable within one year are not amortised.

Basic financial liabllities
Baslc financial Ilabiltties. indudlng credttors and bank loans are initlally recognlsed at transaction pr1￿ unless
the arrangement constitutes a financing transaction. where the debt Instrument is measured at the present
value of the future payments discounted at a market rate of interesl. Financ4al liabilitiès classtfied as payable
within one year are not amortised.
Debt instruments 8re subsequently carried at amortised cost, using the effective interest rate method.
Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or servlces that have been acquired in the ordinary course of
operations from suppliers. Amounts payable are classified as current liabilities if payment is due within one
year or less. If not. they are presented as non-current liabililies. Trade creditors are recognised initially al
transaction price and subsequentty rneasuTed at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
Derecognltlon of financlal Ilabililies
Financial liabililies are derecognised when the chariiys contractual obligations expire or are discharged or
cancelled.
1.10 Employee beneflts
The cost of any unused holiday entitlement is recognised in the period in which the employee's 5eTvices are
received.
Termlnallon benefits S￿ recognised immediately as an expense when the charity Is demonstrably committed
to terminate the employment of an employee or lo provide termination benefils.
crftlcal accounting estimates and judgement8
In the application of the charity's accounting policies, the trustees are required to make judgements, estlmates
and assumptions about the carrying amount of assets and liabilities that are not readily apparent from other
sources. The estimates and associated assumptions are based on historical experfence and other factors that
are considered to be relevant. Actual results may differ from these eslimates.
The estimates and underlylng assumptions are reviewed on an ongoing basis. Revisions to ac￿unting
estimates are recognised in the period in which the estimate is revised where the revision affects only that
period, or in the period of the revision and future periods where the revision affects both current and future
periods.
